GOAT FUR
Goat fur is full and wispy. This fur is favored because it moves gently as the lion moves, enhancing the lifelike illusion. The pelts can be dyed almost any color. If you must have an uncommon color, please provide a color sample and plan on waiting.

Can I clean goat fur?
Goat fur, like ram fur and rabbit fur, doesn’t take well to home-remedy cleaning attempts. Many have tried and failed, so unless you have a good relationship with a local furrier, it’s probably cheaper and easier to replace goat fur. Avoid getting the fur dirty or wet. Try gentle brushing with a dog hair brush to restore matted hair to its original puffiness. When the appearance of the hair becomes unacceptable it’s time to replace it.
Before you paint
If you plan on using a type of hair that looks full, take that into consideration before you paint. You won’t want to spend a great deal of time painting in painstaking detail on the lion’s upper lip, only to obscure all of your work when you attach the hair. The same goes for other areas of the head where the hair is attached.
